CALL FOR SCRIPTS AND PROPOSALS

 

Dear playwrights and theatre practitioners,

 We are now calling for scripts and proposals for the 8th Women Playwrights International Conference to be held in Mumbai, India 1st-7th November 2009.  We apologise for any earlier confusion concerning this announcement.  Jyoti and the Indian Committee have now sent a list of sub-themes and workshop titles, which you can find on the web site with further details of program content and structure-look under both CONFERENCE and PEOPLE.  We are looking for readings and performances, which will fit into any of the sub-themes following.-

1.Identity, Culture and Diversity.

2.Non-violence a way of living.

3.Challenges of patriarchy.

4.Role of Theatre in the Socio-Political World.

5.Humour in Theatre.

 

Please send a hard copy of your script, a one page synopsis, short biography and production history if any.  If you are sending a work in progress, please also include a synopsis with your hard copy of your script, and any workshop history or readings plus bio. THE DUE DATE FOR SUBMISSIONS IS   FEBRUARY 19th.  All submissions should be sent to
